My name is Tamara Gupper and I am a PhD researcher in Social and Cultural Anthropology at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main. I am a doctoral fellow at the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes).
For my PhD project, I conduct ethnographic research among a team of computer scientists who program humanoid robots to play soccer. Being a computer science student myself, I also actively participate in programming within this team. Through both ethnographic and autoethnographic insights, I want to understand the processes through which software for humanoid robots is written.
I am also a co-founder of The Safer Fieldwork Project, and a huge fan of generative art.
